Vamos! Health - Class Booking Terms & Conditions
Health Disclaimer
By booking and participating in our exercise classes you confirm that you are in good health and have no medical conditions that would prevent you from safely participating in physical activity.
The PAR-Q (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire) is a simple self-screening tool used by fitness trainers and coaches to determine the safety or possible risks of exercising based on your health history, current symptoms, and risk factors. It can help you identify whether you should see a doctor before beginning or increasing an exercise program.
The questions from the PAR-Q are listed below:
-
Has your doctor ever said that you have a heart condition and that you should only do physical activity recommended by a doctor?
-
Do you feel pain in your chest when you do physical activity?
-
In the past month, have you had chest pain when you were not doing physical activity?
-
Do you lose your balance because of dizziness, or do you ever lose consciousness?
-
Do you have a bone or joint problem (for example, back, knee or hip) that could be made worse by a change in your physical activity levels?
-
Is your doctor currently prescribing drugs (for example, water pills) for your blood pressure or heart conditions?
-
Do you know of any other reason why you should not do physical activity?
If you have answered ‘Yes’ to any of the questions above, you should consult your GP or health care provider before starting any new exercise. You may be able to do any activity you want, if you start slowly and build up gradually. Alternatively, you may need to restrict your activities to those which are safe for you. Talk with your GP or health care provider about the kinds of activities you wish to participate in and follow their advice.
If you answered ‘No’ to all the questions above it is generally safe to begin or increase exercise, but your GP or health care provider can provide any support or advice you might need.
You acknowledge that:
-
You have completed a PAR-Q or have self-assessed your ability to participate.
-
You undertake exercise at your own risk and accept full responsibility for your health and well-being.
-
If you have any medical conditions, injuries, or are pregnant, you should seek advice from your GP or healthcare provider before participating in any class.
-
The instructor is not liable for any injuries, health complications, or adverse effects that may arise from participating in the class.
